A recurring Thursday gathering for psychedelic facilitators, researchers and the curious
The Netherlands has a growing number of facilitator training programs, but graduates of different cohorts rarely meet. This circle is a place to change that.
The Facilitators' Reading Circle brings together certified psychedelic retreat facilitators from different training programs as well as psychedelic guides from other backgrounds, along with researchers and people who are curious about the field.
We meet in person to build community across cohorts and also learn from one another, and practise what we ask of ourselves in our work: holding space.
How it works
Each gathering lasts 75 minutes:
15 minutes: meet and greet. Arrive, have a coffee before in cafe downstairs, and then get to know who's in the room on the 2nd floor.
45 minutes: reading in community or calm exchange.
10-15 minutes: A brief last round to share - where we are personally or professionally, what we're noticing in our practice, what we're carrying, or what we're curious about.
The reading happens onsite, at your own pace. For each meeting bring one piece, such as a research paper, a book chapter, or an essay on integration, ethics, or the history of consciousness. Alternatively, grab a book from the C.G. Jung room next doors.. Reading is encouraged but not required.
The setting
We meet at the Embassy of the Free Mind, home of the Bibliotheca Philosophica Hermetica, in the 17th-century House with the Heads on the Keizersgracht. Our meeting space is right next to the library's Carl Gustav Jung collection room, which is a fitting neighbour for a circle exploring the psyche, the unconscious and non-ordinary states. Feel free to arrive early or stay afterwards to explore the museum, the garden or the café.
Who it's for
Certified facilitators from any Dutch (or international) training program
Researchers in psychedelic science, psychology, anthropology or related fields
People who are curious about facilitation and want to learn from practitioners
Cost and registration
The circle itself is free. You only need access to the museum:
Museum entrance ticket (see EFM ticket page) or
Free entry with a Museumkaart or
Free entry as an EFM member (from €100/year)
We suggest a donation of €15 - payment link shared with confirmation of your spot. Spots are limited to 16 people per circle to keep it intimate, so please register in advance.
